History of Newport and the Mansions
Founded in 1639, Newport was an important port city, a center of the slave trade, a fashionable resort and the summer home of the Gilded Age rich.

The Gilded Age was a period of unprecedented change in America. Fortunes were spent on luxuries such as the lavish "summer cottages" of Newport.

Begin Your Adventure 7:30 am
Meet at The Breakers parking lot in Newport, across the street from The Breakers main gates at 44 Ochre Point Avenue. Board and relax on a 56-passenger luxury bus.
The trip will be nonstop as the bus will have a restroom, and light refreshments will be available.
Guided Tour at The Frick Collection 11:15 am – 12:30 pm Discover one of New York’s elegant cultural sanctuaries. Housed in the former Gilded Age mansion of American industrialist Henry Clay Frick, this exquisite collection of European paintings, sculpture and decorative arts offers an intimate encounter with masterpieces. Take a stroll through grand rooms as expert guides illuminate the history, architecture and artistry that define this extraordinary home-turned-museum.

Guided Tour at The Morgan Library & Museum 3 pm – 4:30 pm Step inside a rare jewel of Manhattan’s historical landscape. Once the private library of financier J.P. Our private visit will explore the opulent interiors, exceptional collections and intellectual legacy preserved within this remarkable space.
