Cynthia Nixon is an Emmy, Tony and Grammy award‑winning actress. She is best known for her roles as Ada Brook (later Forte) in “The Gilded Age” (2022-present) and Miranda Hobbes in “Sex and the City (1998-2004) as well asAnd Just Like That …” (2021-2025). She is also celebrated for her acclaimed stage and film performances, including her portrayal of Emily Dickinson in “A Quiet Passion (2016) and her Broadway debut in “The Philadelphia Story (1980) at the age of 14.

In conversation, Nixon will discuss her portrayal of the compassionate Ada in HBO’s “The Gilded Age.” With the hit series currently filming its fourth season in Newport, the discussion will reflect highlights of Nixon’s role as Ada, the arc of the series, and her celebrated career of acting, directing and producing.

“An Evening with Cynthia Nixon” will be moderated by Brian Scott-Smith, an award-winning journalist and host of “Morning Edition” on WSHU in Connecticut.
