Download Our Mobile App!
Enhance your Newport Mansions experience by downloading our free app on your own smart device. Audio tours of The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms and Rosecliff are available through the free app. Visitors to The Breakers and Marble House can also download audio for The Children's Tours, which are geared to those under 13. Enjoy audio, photos, floor plans and other features that will help you make your visit truly your own! You can even read the transcript of the audio tour.
Save time by downloading the app before you arrive, and choose the tour you would like to take.
Just go to your app store, and search for "Newport Mansions" identified with the green pineapple icon. Select which house you will be visiting and download the tour. Once the tour is downloaded on your phone, you will be all set for your visit!
Make sure you bring your headphones or earbuds!
Note: if you experience any issues while listening to the tour on the app during your visit, turn your phone on airplane mode and it will alleviate any issues.
Please remember: When you purchase admission, you agree to the following measures:
Face covers are required of all non-COVID-vaccinated visitors inside the houses.
All tours are by self-guided audio through the free Newport Mansions app. Audio players are longer provided. Please download the audio tour app to your device and remember to bring your own earbuds. Visitors without a smart device will be given a paper tour script that will be used only by them.
The Breakers, Marble House and Green Animals Topiary Garden are partially accessible for mobility devices. Our other houses are not currently accessible.
Only certified service animals are allowed on the properties.
Strollers are not allowed inside the houses.
IMPORTANT NOTES: While young children are always welcome at the Newport Mansions, we regret that we cannot allow strollers or carriages inside any of the properties. This policy has been adopted because of the significant damage that such vehicles have caused to historic surfaces and furnishings. The Preservation Society cannot be liable for strollers or carriages left unattended on the property during your tour. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Also, due to space limitations in our historic properties, there are no lockers or storage facilities at any of the Newport Mansions. Personal items may not be left at the front desk. Visitors are welcome to carry personal items, such as purses, camera bags and knapsacks with them during their tour. But suitcases, carry-on luggage, duffel bags, or oversized bags of any kind that could cause potential damage to historic surfaces and furnishings are not permitted. Please leave such items in your car prior to entering the property. Please plan your visit with this in mind.
All public health regulations, including but not limited to requirements for shoes while on our property, will be enforced.
