July 10 is Newport’s honorary Preservation Day. Join the Newport Restoration Foundation and The Preservation Society of Newport County on a tour celebrating preservation in one of the country’s most intact Revolutionary-era communities. We’ll explore the historic Point and see how the neighborhood is adapting to the increasing impacts of sea-level rise and flooding events.

The tour begins with a walk highlighting resiliency planning for NRF’s historic homes, many which witnessed the American Revolution, and concludes with a special behind-the-scenes look at the resiliency study of Hunter House, one of the finest examples of Georgian Colonial architecture from the mid-18th century.
