Beginning May 1, 2023, the Preservation Society’s membership program enters a new era with expanded benefits and opportunities. The new membership program aims to foster a community of supporters who believe in furthering our mission to protect, preserve, and present the best of Newport County’s architectural heritage. Whether you’ve been a member for a lifetime or just a few years, we hope that you will join us as we transition to our exciting, re-envisioned membership program.
As a member you are granted unlimited general admission access to our properties and do not need tickets. The exception to this is if you would like to take one of our Specialty Tours (Beneath the Breakers, The Servant Life Tour). Some of our properties require a no-cost timed reservation (see below). If you have a current membership card, you can proceed directly to the entrance of the house(s) that you wish to visit. If you do not have a current membership card, a cashier can assist you in locating your membership information and printing a temporary membership card for your short-term use. Please show your photo ID for verification.
Due to capacity limitations at some of our properties, we have instituted a reservation system to accommodate as many people as possible. As members, you do not have to pay for your reservations. For the summer of 2023, admission to Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, Chepstow, and the Sean Kenney Nature Connect’s exhibit at the Green Animals Topiary Garden will require a timed reservation.
You can make your reservations online through the Member Portal section of our ticketing system, or by contacting the membership office at 401-847-1000 ext. 111 or members@newportmansions.org.
All members will receive a card that is associated with their membership. Please allow two to three weeks after purchasing your membership to receive your card in the mail.
Memberships are valid for one year after the date of purchase. We invite you to renew your membership annually and continue your support for the Preservation Society. An invitation to renew your membership will be sent in the month preceding your membership expiration. If you would like to receive a mailed renewal reminder, please call or email the membership office.
