We are accepting group tour reservations for 2021.
The Breakers is OPEN DAILY.
Through Jan. 10, The Breakers opens at 12 noon with last tour admission at 7 p.m. House & grounds close at 8 p.m. Sparkling Lights illuminated at 4 p.m.
Beginning Jan. 11, 2021, The Breakers OPENS DAILY at 10 am with last tour admission at 4 p.m. House & grounds close at 5 p.m.
All other Preservation Society properties are currently closed. The Elms and Green Animals Topiary Garden will open in the spring of 2021. Additional properties may open in 2021, depending upon the course of the COVID-19 crisis and its effects on travel. Reservation requests are welcome. Please submit your requests and we will keep you informed of schedule openings. We very much appreciate your business.

Group Admission Rates

ADULT GROUP rates are based on a minimum of 20 persons with advance reservation, visiting as an organized group with one person responsible for full payment. Driver and escort are complimentary.
STUDENT GROUP rates are based on a minimum of 10 students with one adult chaperone complimentary and required for every 10 students, ages 6-17. Students must be affiliated with an educational organization.
The Preservation Society of Newport County welcomes teachers and students to its historic properties. Over two centuries of American history, art, and cultural development are represented in the PSNC’s collection of properties, which makes Newport an ideal learning laboratory for students!

The Elms is closed for the winter. The Breakers will be decorated through January 10, 2021.
NEW! Sparkling Lights at The Breakers: An Outdoor Magical Wonderland. Start a new Group Tour tradition with this dazzling holiday light extravaganza!

Holidays at the Newport Mansions will be more spectacular than ever this year, with our new outdoor experience. For the first time, the exterior of The Breakers and its landscape will be awash in thousands of festive colored lights, including 28 spruce trees glittering and glowing; The Breakers façade bathed in color; and illumination of the historic paths, shrubbery and trees in various colors. The Children’s Cottage will be outlined in lights and visitors will be able to peek through the windows at Santa’s Workshop inside. Holiday music will fill the air.
Your ticket to The Breakers gives you TWO dazzling experiences – indoors and outdoors! Admission by our regular Breakers House and Garden ticket. No special ticket required.

The glitter of gold and sparkle of silver will dazzle you as you tour these two magnificent mansions decked in Yuletide finery.

The interiors of The Breakers and The Elms will be lavishly decorated for the holidays and open daily except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The houses are decorated with thousands of poinsettia plants, spectacular evergreens, trees, wreaths and fresh flowers. Dining tables set with period silver and china, and decorations on all mantelpieces and many other festive touches. Created with hundreds of poinsettia plants, the 15-foot-tall poinsettia tree – always a visitor favorite – will return to the Great Hall of The Breakers. A total of 20 Christmas trees, decorations on every mantelpiece and many other festive touches will be coordinated with the décor of each room.

The Breakers OPEN DAILY 12 noon – 8 p.m. Sparkling Lights go on at 4 p.m.
The Elms OPEN DAILY at 9 a.m, last tour admission at 4 p.m. House and grounds close at 5 p.m.
Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas. On December 24, last tour admission 3 p.m.
The Elms is closed for the winter. The Breakers will be decorated through January 10, 2021.

Interior tours of The Breakers and The Elms are self-guided using the free Newport Mansions audio tour app. Guests are encouraged to download the audio tour prior to arrival and bring their own earbuds. For those who prefer not to listen to the audio, one-use printed scripts are available. Tours are one-way direction only, and social distancing and face coverings are required. Newport Mansions no longer provide audio tour headsets.

The world has changed since you last visited. When you, the tour operator, schedule a group visit, you agree to the following measures;
• Contract Tracing If the need arises, the tour operator agrees to provide a passenger list with contact information including names, phone numbers and email addresses.
• Face covers are required of all visitors inside and outside our properties. Guests who do not follow this policy will be asked to leave the property.
• Social distancing is mandatory and the flow of visitors through the houses will be supervised in accordance with CDC guidelines.
• No elevator service. Regrettably, during the reopening period the houses are not accessible for mobility-challenged guests.
