Join us in historic Newport, Rhode Island for a stimulating weekend of lectures, social events, and camaraderie hosted by The Preservation Society of Newport County. The Newport Symposium is New England’s preeminent convening of national and international experts in the fine and decorative arts.
Registration for the 27th annual Newport Symposium, Travels Across America: Art, Nature & the Pursuit of Beauty
includes all lectures and presentations, lunch on Friday and Saturday, opening reception, Friday night events, and the closing reception at The Breakers on Saturday evening. In addition, all participants receive complimentary admission throughout the weekend to the Preservation Society houses open for the season and the special exhibition John James Audubon: Obsession Untamed
. New attendees
are invited to join the Newport Symposium Committee for a special welcome dinner on Friday evening.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS AND EMERGING PROFESSIONALS
Scholarships are to assist undergraduate and graduate students and emerging professionals interested in attending the Symposium. Scholarships are designed to assist with travel and lodging expenses and cover the cost of attending all lectures and events. A limited number of scholarships are available. SUPPORT THE NEWPORT SYMPOSIUM!
Support for The Newport Symposium General Fund will help to underwrite the general costs associated with presenting the Symposium.
A contribution to the Newport Symposium Scholarship Fund will help us support the travel, accommodations and registration of the next generation of scholars and museum professionals.
All donors will be acknowledged in the Symposium Program and listed in The Newport Symposium section on the Preservation Society’s website (unless anonymity is requested) provided your contribution is received prior to February 28, 2019.
In the event that registrants are unable to attend the Newport Symposium due an unforeseen schedule change, please be advised that participants who cancel by midnight on Monday, March 11, 2019, regardless of reason, will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee.
