In May 2020 we launched Project Relaunch, a historic campaign to reopen some of our houses amidst the pandemic, and many of our greatest supporters rallied to ensure that we would still be here today. We came up with new ideas to counter the decline in tourism, including a gardens and grounds tour, picnicking at the mansions and an outdoor holiday light display at The Breakers. We have persevered, but the financial struggle goes on.
Now we pivot from reopening and relaunching to the goal of regaining financial stability for the years ahead. And that’s where we need YOUR help. Project Perseverance is our initiative to ensure that our 75-year success story doesn’t end here.
Your generous donation will contribute to our strength at this critical time. It will also help the Newport economy at a time of dire need. Our houses, events, education programs and advocacy all contribute to the fiscal health and cultural vibrancy of the city we love. We are eager for the day when the Preservation Society is bustling and Newport is booming again. With your support, we will reach that goal. We will persevere.
To recognize your generosity, all donors to Project Perseverance will be listed on permanent plaques at the close of this campaign to honor all who supported us during this historic moment in time. The month after your pledge or gift is made, all donors in that month will be recognized on a special sign at one of our houses.
All gifts to Project Perseverance are fully tax deductible as allowed by law. To make a donation, please contact our Director of Development Sarah Iwanski at siwanski@NewportMansions.org or 401-847-1000, Ext. 167.
We are grateful for your support.
