2020 Leon Dormido Rosé, Rioja, Spain: Sourced from a single vineyard of old-vine Grenache grapes grown in the high elevations of Rioja Alta, this micro-production wine (200 cases made) was made by Miguel Merino Jr. While 90% of Rioja red grapes that are grown are Tempranillo, this dry rosé showcases the Grenache varietal in a crisp, lean, refreshing and slightly spicy style.
2019 Clunia Albillo, Burgos, Spain: Made from a very rare and almost extinct varietal, this complex and unique white wine was grown on the Bocigas vineyard at an elevation of 3,300 feet above sea level. The cool climate of this site along with dramatic temperature swings from day to night yielded a wine bursting with freshness and verve with richness gained from fermentation in French oak.
2016 Clos Galena "Gran Crossos," Priorat, Spain: Organically grown grapes and a micro-production of only 950 cases makes this wine a rare treat to find outside of Priorat. The famous Llicorella soil of Priorat imparts a classic minerality while the warm Spanish sun ripens the fruit to full flavor potential. A blend of 57% Grenache Noir (Garnacha), 34% Carignan and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon barrel fermented and aged for 12 months in French oak.
2016 Clunia "Finca El Rincon de Clunia," Burgos, Spain: Grown at an elevation of over 3,500 feet above sea level and only produced in great vintage years, this 100% Tempranillo is a truly magnificent expression of the varietal. The cooler climate keeps the wine elegant and polished, yet the powerful flavors and structure of the Tempranillo allow for extended cellaring.
2018 Carmelo Rodero "Pago de Valtarrena”, Ribera Del Duero, Spain: Legendary grower turned vigneron Carmelo Rodero uses his oldest plot of Tempranillo vines to produce this magnificent wine. Beatriz Rodero, oldest daughter of Carmelo, took over winemaking in 2008 and her wines have received worldwide critical acclaim with this wine being her masterpiece. A powerful and intense expression of Tempranillo; truly one of the world’s greatest red wines.

Made from 90% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache grown on steep cliffs above the sea, the red fruits and delicate spices of the grapes are enhanced by saline minerality from the nearby Mediterranean.
