Sarah Iwanski became Director of Development in March 2021. She oversees the organization’s fundraising and membership programs as well as grant writing.
Iwanski joined the Preservation Society in 2019 as the institution’s Grant Writer. Previously, she was the Executive Director of ArtPlace Mississippi, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to the arts.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Iwanski received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Northeastern University and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
In 2019, Iwanski was named one of the Top 30 Under 40 professionals by the Greenwood Commonwealth. She has served as the treasurer of Junior Auxiliary of Greenwood, the Board Governance Chair for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta, and the Marketing and Public Relations Committee Chair for the Leflore County Health Center.
