2000 Weddings and Counting!
With over 30 years of event planning experience in Newport, Phil Pelletier has overseen more than 2,000 weddings. He's seen every trend and style change over the years, and has some valuable tips for planning your own special day.
Do something that you are comfortable with and you feel good arriving in. Let the arrival set the theme for the entire day. This is your grand entrance moment.
Cakes are still an important part of the day but we see smaller
cakes trending. Dessert tables are now more common, with
several small desserts. Another popular option is ice cream
There are three things to consider with wardrobe changes.
1. Decide how many outfits.
2. Consider the flow of the evening to make sure you don’t delay the party.
3. Your venue should have a changing room.
Put some real thought into how lighting can transform your venue. Don't overdo it. Pick up architectural elements of the room. Consider outside uplighting as well.
I see a lot of DJs and bands, and either choice works for a great reception.
