Supporting The Preservation Society of Newport County

The historic houses of the Preservation Society open doors into the past, into the lives of extraordinary people, where we are given the opportunity to experience the art, architecture and beauty they left behind.  Without your help, our priceless cultural heritage will be lost.  We invite you to become a part of the grand vision of our founders, and share in preserving America's history.

Help Us Fulfill Our Mission

The cost of maintaining and preserving these unique and priceless treasures so that they can continue to be appreciated by future generations is staggering.  The Society's "youngest" property is now over 100 years old; its oldest was built more than 250 years ago.  Restoration and preservation is an ongoing process.  In just the last few years, the Society's has spent millions of dollars restoring and replacing aging roofs on several of its properties, including The Elms, The Breakers, and Chateau-sur-Mer.

Visitation to our house museums provides only about half of our annual operating budget.  That's why we need your help.   There are many ways to support our work.
