Director of Properties
Curt Genga joined the Preservation Society of Newport County as Director of Properties in 1991. He manages a staff of several dozen employees who are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and security of all of the Society's properties, including 36 buildings.
At the Preservation Society, Curt is responsbile for planning and managing the maintenance of 36 buildings, including 7 National Historic Landmarks. He oversaw the creation of the groundbreaking Facilities Management Database, which prioritizes and tracks four thousand maintenance projects to assist in budgeting and scheduling. He also developed a safety and disaster program.
Prior to joining the Preservation Society, he was President and General Manager of his own contracting company, with 30 years of construction experience, managing professional staff independent contractors, and 17 years in residential, commercial and industrial renovation and restoration.
