Free Admission for Newport Residents Extended Through 2017
The Preservation Society of Newport County invites all City of Newport residents and their families to enjoy free general admission to the Newport Mansions through 2017.
Any resident member of your family is welcome to come and take any regular tour of our houses, any day of the week, just by showing proof of City of Newport residency at the ticket station at any one of the Newport Mansions. That can be a driver's license, motor vehicle registration, other photo ID, passport, utility bill, or any similar document that shows your name and address. To take advantage of this offer, each adult, individual or in a group, must show proof of City of Newport residency. ID not required for children to receive their free immediate admission ticket. Children must be escorted by an adult.
When you visit each house, you will be given a special pass at the ticket booth good for one immediate free admission, which will be scanned at the beginning of the tour.
Free admission is available on arrival at The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House, and Green Animals Topiary Garden.
Limited admission tours, such as the Servant Life Tour at The Elms, the new Beneath The Breakers Tour (opening January 28) or guided tours at Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, Kingscote and Rosecliff are included on a space available basis. Free guests will be added to any tour not yet full 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the tour. Any free guest unable to join such a tour will have head-of-the-line privilege for the next scheduled tour.
Special events, performances, shows, festivals, lectures and Holiday Evenings are not included.
Some houses operate seasonally, so please check the operating schedule to determine which houses are open when you plan to visit.
