Guided Tours are available at The Breakers, Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, Kingscote and Rosecliff.
Guided tours are led by our experienced staff of tour guides. The narrated portion of each tour is approximately 45 minutes in length.
Self-Guided Audio Tours are available at The Elms and Marble House.
Self guided audio tours permit each member of your group to move through the house at their own pace. Audio tours range in length from 30-90 minutes depending upon the interest of the visitor.

Detailed garden maps are distributed to our visitors to enjoy the gardens at their leisure. Staff is located inside the estate house to answer any questions you may have about the house and gardens.
Rooftop and Behind the Scenes Tour at The Elms
See and hear how the other half lived as you tour the backstairs of The Elms. Walk through the kitchens, coal cellar, laundry rooms and wine cellar, then up the stairs to the third floor staff quarters. Wind up your visit with a trip out onto the roof for a spectacular view of Newport Harbor.

The Elms Lunch and Audio Tour Combo
Your group can relax and enjoy a mid-day boxed lunch served on the grounds of The Elms, plus the audio tour of The Elms. Boxed lunch includes your choice of sandwich or salad, a bag of potato chips, a cookie and soft drink or bottled water. Seasonal May through October.
The Breakers Student Tour is an interactive experience encouraging children to ask questions and talk about what they see as their guide gives them a personal perspective on what life would be like growing up in a mansion like the Vanderbilt children. The Breakers Student Tour is designed for students in grades K-5 and is available daily in the morning.
Marble House Mythology and Architecture Tour helps students gain a basic understanding of mythology and architecture through imagery, story, interactive participation and by pre-and post-visit activities. The Marble House Mythology and Architecture Tour is designed for students in grades 4-8 and is available daily at 9:30 a.m.
