Research & Scholarship

The Preservation Society of Newport County sponsors research and documentation projects to support its mission to preserve and interpret its historic properties.

Research Reports and Scholarly Papers offer more in-depth information about various topics related to the mansions and the lifestyles of the people who lived and worked in them.

The Preservation Society of Newport County's Fellows Program offers scholars the opportunity to conduct research in Newport on topics of local as well as national significance. The application process is now open for consideration for one-year or one semester (6 months) research fellowships beginning in July 2015. Learn more and download a 2015 Fellowship Application.

For teachers, the Preservation Society offers Resource Guides to accompany student tours of the mansions.
