Planning Your Rehearsal Dinner

The Chinese Tea House and Marble House Terrace

The Chinese Tea HouseIf Rosecliff is the perfect setting for your wedding celebration, then the Marble House Tea House or Marble House Terrace will be the perfect setting for your rehearsal dinner.

Simplify your wedding planning by including your rehearsal dinner in a single package with the reception itself. Pick a special site for your dinner from either location at Marble House or in the elegant salon at Rosecliff.

Chinese Tea HouseAt the height of the Gilded Age the mystery of the distant east captivated America's wealthiest families. From that romance came the Chinese Tea House at Marble House. This lavishly decorated pavilion was built in 1914 for Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt.

Surrounded by beautifully manicured lawns, the Chinese Teahouse also offers magnificent ocean views. Originally located on the cliffs at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, The Chinese Teahouse was moved back to its current, safer location in 1977.

Marble House
Equally captivating is a terrace dinner at Marble House. Seated on the terrace of a grand palace created for the debut of Alva Vanderbilt's only daughter, Consuelo, you will experience the magic of an era now gone, but for these last monuments to the age of beauty.
